Uniform Questions

I’ve noticed a lot of things about the Pirates uniforms this year. Maybe someone has some answers.
1. Why don’t we ever see the black home alternates anymore? Haven’t seen them since about the second week of the season.
2. Why do they not have a uniform belt? Castro has a yellow one, Bae has something that looks like it’s plated in gold, Santana has a different one, some guys have solid black, and some have black with their number stitched in gold.
3. What’s with the alternate hats they’re using tonight? Do they have some significance?
4. Finally, why isn’t Santana wearing the alternate cap tonight? He still has the standard black with gold “P.”
