Gonzales Ankle

He has a broken ankle per 93.7 the Fan.
It's a non-displaced fracture. They recalled Enmanuel Valdez to be the backup 2Bman. I wonder what happened to Nick Yorke?

Yep, let's trade a major league ready starting pitcher for a former top prospect, only to put this years version of Riddle/Difo/VanMeter/Marcano on the roster

Yep, let's trade a major league ready starting pitcher for a former top prospect, only to put this years version of Riddle/Difo/VanMeter/Marcano on the roster
I am surprised they did not bring up Yorke. Their moves sometimes are head scratching!

Their moves make perfect sense when you remember that winning isn’t their goal.

It looks like they brought up Valdez to be a utility guy and they would rather have Yorke playing every day (at Indy). Of course Yorke could play every day for the Pirates while Gonzales is out. But Cherington has to justify his acquisition of Frazier so Frazier will play 2B while Gonzales s out.

Well sure. Frazier's the future so it's imperative he get as much playing time as possible.

Better make sure that this former top prospect doesn't bet on Baseball Games :lol:
If he does, I hope he's a lot better at it.
