The Pirates begin their season with games with the Marlins, Rays, Yankees and Cardinals. It would be good to begin the season with an 8-5 record, but I would be pleased if they began the season at 7-6. Most Media people are predicting they will again end the season below.500, and if the media people are correct the Pirates will have several changes at the end of the season.

I think 8-5 is very realistic. We better at least take 3 of 4 from the Marlins. The Rays will be tough and always give the Bucs a hard time. The Yankees without Cole and Gil are very beatable and the Cards are a mess and should finish last in the Central.
