Reynolds has been hitting the ball better the past couple of games, and McCutchen seems to get on base a couple of times a game.  So why not take them both out of the line-up against a divisional foe.  Great idea.

What amazes me is that Cutch seems to get an off day at least once a week and he is basically just a DH. Santana on the other hand who is I believe a year older and is a position player seldom gets a day off. I know Santana hits from both sides of the plate but I have no idea why he isn't given a day off at his age. This

could change if and when Choi is activated

I hope that it's because they're showcasing him.

Even with Choi out, Joe can play 1B to give Santana a blow. He’s already played there this year. Has Shelton forgotten?



Incidentally, Reynolds has tightness in his back, the reason he’s not starting tonight.
