This looks like a bullpen game. It's a good thing Rowdy will be sitting in the bullpen. MLB should let the Bucs hit off a tee.

After our first inning, it shows that they need a batting tee!

How about an enlarged batting tee? Big enough to hold a beach ball.

Triolo's AB was a microcosm of the Pirates offense this season. Two guys in scoring position. 2-2 count. Triolo takes a borderline pitch, but gets the call. 3-2. Then, takes strike three looking right out over the plate. It wasn't some wicked googly type pitch.

It's the "pass the baton" attitude. Someone, at some point, has to want to keep the baton. With two outs, you can't just be up there hoping to draw a walk.

In other words, these guys are afraid of success.

Just like that, 2-0 Cards.

So, now that they're on the board, I thought this little clip would lighten the mood a little, it's pretty funny:

LOL. If Nutting sees that, he'll become a Cardinals fan. Imagine saving 20 cents!

This is the Cherington "Money Ball" philosophy. OBP is prioritized and walks are gold. Haines has not been fired because he is a proponent of the Cherington approach. The reward of a walk is worth the risk of looking at strike 3.

This is the result of having clueless morons running the team.

Bucs erase 4-2 deficit on singles by Yorke and Triolo and 3-run HR by Cook!

Bednar enters and immediately gives up game tying HR.
