Here we go. They want Cruz to learn CF so Shelty makes him the DH and puts Taylor in CF. I only hope Shelty and GMBC will be gone on Sept 30.

It's hard to understand why Taylor is still here and then why he's playing. On the other hand, Davis is in the line-up. Of course, he won't be for the next three games but at least we have today.

Also, I guess Cutch needs a day off after a night game.

Shelton and Cherington believe that nothing is more important than rest. So the players all get plenty of rest all season so that when September comes around, they can rest some more.

Keller gives up a lead off HR, then a scorching single to start the game.
Let's hope that's the end of it.

Well, you know, I can understand maybe keeping Tellez and Chapman around if the Pirates have intentions of seriously trying to re-sign them. There is no justification to have McKinney, Grandal, and Taylor on the roster anymore.
Keller gives up a double and it's 2-0

Well, let's hope it's one of those kind of days they used to say about great pitchers, "Score early because once they settle in that's it".
Not that I'm calling Keller a great pitcher, just using the analogy.
Keller has yet to show he can be consistent throughout the year. Looking back to 2023, it's following a similar path where he starts to falter once the season hits July.
It would really help if the Pirates showed a little life at the plate.
