There's no excuse for this lineup other than Reynolds and Cutch are hurting and will get the day off again. Shelty & Cherrington should be run out of town after being tarred & feathered for insisting on playing Joe, Hedges, and Palacios. I don't expect the Bucs to score again today. Happy watching guys.

I don't want to put the weight on Surg's shoulders for luck. He doesn't deserve that. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I thought that the team may have recaptured some of the early magic during the last home stand when they climbed back above .500 and were again in 1st place. Ten days later that now appears to be a brief moment of hope as the team is now mired in an 8 game losing streak, with few reasons to feel optimistic.



No offense, the pen is in tatters, and the starters are undependable. Oh well, the reality of being a Pirates' fan is back. It likely will soon be time to see if Hill, Santana, Delay, and any of the relievers have any trade value.

I love the fine tuning, Davis moving from 7th to 5th to 6th. You know that a computer program is spitting that out.

Package Hayes and Santana.  Maybe we'd get a MLB-ready, highly-regarded pitcher, plus.  Of course, in his infinite wisdom, Cherington got Bryse Wilson the last time, so maybe not.



Oh. Contreras, too.



And, don't go running anybody out of town.  With my luck, they'd head to Delaware.



They deserve real punishment:  Tarred, feathered, and made to listen to a game (Joe Block and all)  with Surg, Possum, Bobster, me, and......Shed.  ))  That would bring them around.

Bad that none of Davis, Mitchell, and Castro can get Palacios home from 2nd with none out.



That said, a lead is a lead, even if it is only 1-0.

Can anyone explain why Castro who can't hit righties (he just SO)

is starting at SS instead of Marcano
