It looks like an opener game for the Bucs. Endy sits as usual on a Sunday. Bae gets a day off and we are left with Williams as a starter. Reynolds gets a day off he needs a rest because the Bucs don't need him to carry them on his hot hitting back. :x :x :x :x

They have to give Reynolds plenty of rest so he'll be fresh for those games down the stretch in mid-September.

But of course in mid-September they have to give him plenty of rest so he'll be fresh for those trips from the sofa to the fridge and back as he watches the playoffs, featuring a lot of guys who didn't get as much rest.

Reynolds leads the Pirates with 116 games started. That makes him 83rd in MLB in games started. I guess not every team has such a smart analytics department determining how much rest players need.

You beat me to it Bobster. Resting Reynolds is completely ridiculous. I'm
also sure that the paying customers are coming to watch Connor Joe
play LF.

A lead off double by Triolo and a two out single by Peguero get the Bucs a run. I like him more and more. He’s an example of a young guy getting the opportunity to learn how to succeed in the big leagues. 1-0 Pirates after three.

Andujar makes it 2-0 with a solo HR in the 4th.
