Part of that equation is that we have only 1 good starter anyway.

I thought Liriano was pushed back a day. Dang it, was looking forward to seeing Kuhl. Not looking forward to seeing Arrieta (again). But at least I can wear my old Liriano t-shirt.

Don't worry CiaB. Your luck has to get better and Liriano's well he is way, way, way, way overdue for some good luck. As for Arrietta, he too needs to be humbled and experience some bad luck. So in the end the Buccos will win. No don't take that last sentence to the bank just keep thinking it and it might actually happen.

Arrieta has not been right lately. Last 3 starts (1-2):

ER: 10

SO: 8

ERA: 5.87



That said, I expect the Pirates will continue to be so intimidated by him that he will have a great game against them.

I fully expect an Arrieta no hitter tonight

Hopefully this is the night the Pirates finally stop crapping their damn pants everytime they face Arietta and find a way to beat him. Gotta score early against Arietta and take advantage of the few opportunities that you do get against him. Liriano needs to be the Liriano of old tonight and go 6 or 7 innings.
