Traded to the Mariners.

I don't like this. What is this love affair the Pirates have with Locke. They should just DFA Locke. Instead they trade Caminero so that Locke can go to the pen. Now the bullpen is overstocked with lefties. Granted, Caminero has struggled at times with his control this year, but I would still rather see him with his 100+ MPH heater than the soft tossing Locke

They were both bad. At least one of them is gone now. I'm sure it was easier to find a taker for Caminero than Locke.

Don't think this move has anything to do with Locke or clearing roster space. May have been trying to pass Caminero through revocable waivers and he got plucked by Seattle. Thankfully, they worked out a trade. They could be trying to clear Locke for all we know.

One report also mentions besides the player to be named, a conditional player to be named later. Sounds like it is a two for one trade.
