Huge game to win today if you're the Pirates. The Pirates have tied the Mets in the standings and have actually gained 2 games on the Cards and Marlins this week who are a combined 3-7. You gotta win this one today with your best pitcher on the mound. A win here will give you a 4-2 week and kind of make up for the debacle of a series in Atlanta this past week.

Cole has never beat the Reds. I find that surprising.

Kang had Hamilton as he was off the bag.

Everytime Cole pitches against the Reds this crap happens. Nice throw home by Jaso there. A good throw gets Hamilton at home easily.

Cole just cannot beat the Reds. They have his number.

Garrett Cole is beyond frustrating. Huge game. "Ace" on the mound - this is a game you gotta mark in the win column before the game even starts. Cole goes through 27 pitches giving up 2 runs. The guy is good. Hardly great.

1 inning and you can tell how this is going to go....

Our biggest problem with beating the Reds is Hamilton. He gets on base and we cannot stop him. He walks and steals two bases. In my opinion if Baker had started him in the 2013 Wild Card Game the results might have been different.

G. Cole is at best a #2-3 starter on a world series team. He is not an ACE on this or any team. I'm not saying he won't be some day but at this point in his career he is a 2nd tier pitcher.

He could perform like Greg Maddox or Jeff Locke on any given start!
