Thru his 2nd AB tonight, Cutch has hit .353 since 8/15.

Looks like both the Cards and Marlins are both going to lose tonight. So if you're the Pirates you better hang on and win this game tonight and gain back that game in the standings you lost yesterday. We are starting to get to the point in the season right now that if you're the Pirates you simply can't afford to miss a golden opportunity to gain ground on the standings on two teams. Pretty fair statement to say tonight is one of those nights.

Once again the Pirates starting pitchers not named Cole are pitching about as solid as you would expect them too. Don't expect it to get much better for Cole on Monday when he faces the Cubs and Arietta.

I'll keep saying it because it's true had the Pirates had both Kuhl in the rotation pitching every 5th day over Locke, and Bell playing at 1st everyday over Jaso about a month ago like they should have this team would have definitely maybe won 2 or 3 more games which at this point is absolutely huge seeing how tight the standings are. Just pure stupidity on both Huntington and Hurdle both for waiting around.

The curse of Miller Park just continues. Kuhl was cruising and then boom 2 run homer tie ballgame. So frustrating. It's just not the Pirates year it simply isn't.
