Yesterday I posted that the team's stars, particularly Cutch, needs to play like he is unconscious and possessed. Great game for Cutch last night.

Hoping that he can continue tonight, and that Vogelsong can make all of us ashamed for suggesting that he not make it back onto the active roster. Vogelsong no longer has an above average fastball, but he has done well since his return to the rotation.

Time to bury the curse.

What is Freese's numbers since he signed? Last week? Two weeks?

Seems like he is struggling too.

I do see his defensive struggles. He is like Alvarez, so he better hit. If he hits, no one will care.

No.  He's not.

Why isn't he? Don't forget that this is Bell's second year at 1B too.

I'm not worried about his defense, just pointing it out. He doesn't look very smooth over there.

1-0 Pirates.

What a great season for Mercer as he continues to impress with the bat. The Marlins are down 6-3 to the Padres in the 8th while the Cards lead the A's 3-1. So if the Pirates can hang on and the Marlins at least lose we will be tied with the Fish in the standings and will remain 2.5 back of the Cards.
