MLBTR is reporting that Melancon has a deal with SF. They are also reporting a mystery team is in on the McCutchen talks. A team not previously linked to him. This is almost like having Scott Boras representing the Pirates in the deal. :)

I wonder if the Kang issue will prevent a Harrison trade if it would be available?

I'm not sure i'd be doing anything with Harrison just yet.

"Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports (on Twitter) that it’s a four-year deal in the $62MM range for Melancon."

I think Harrison is a very long shot to be moved. The Kang situation has thrown a curve into any trade discussions about Harrison. I am going to guess that Cutch and Watson will be the only two players traded this week.

I didn't see anything on Kang on where he can't play baseball. I don't think not moving Harrison has anything to do with Kang. I just don't think Harrison has much value with his contract.

He could very easily get a suspension from MLB. It's happened before with other players.

I did find this article as I never heard of a player getting suspended for a DUI. I agree they should, but that baseball union is a tough one to deal with for some reason.

Interesting, dog. Though I must admit I'm finding the whole thing more distasteful by the day.

my job would not punish me for getting a dui.
