Now I more then anybody was in favor of bringing this kid up to pitch last year but I already am kind of sick of this kid looking weak and vulnerable on the mound. The guy is clearly a headcase. So from this point moving forward until he can once and for all get out of his own head I am going to refer to him as not as Glasnow but as Glass Case. Prove me wrong Glass Case by going putt and beating Arietta on Saturday at Wrigley.

He should not start another ballgame until he has come out of the bullpen a few times.  He needs confidence, that's all, and to continue to run him out there and not being able to throw strikes could permanently damage this kids career.   I seriously question Hurdle's judgement.  He has screwed this team up so bad I'm not sure it's fixable, certainly not by Hurdle.

Lol. That is a classic post!

I agree. I feel for the kid, but in the last game he looked like he was ready to break down and cry. Grow some gonads and show the other team you will not be intimidated!

Better teach him how to pitch from the stretch if you want him as a pen pitcher.

The chance that he's ever a top of the rotation starter after his last two embarrassing games is approaching zero.   Which means his trade value is dropping like a rock.

Just another one of those untouchable prospects that isn't anywhere near as good as the hype.   You'd think people would learn... These "in the know" people are PARROTS. They repeat each other for fear of criticism and risking their delicate reputations. #1RH pitching prospect in baseball! Puhleeze!

We have a team full of players underachieving their lofty expectations, and the guys off the scouts radar (Frazier, Kuhl) look like the major Leaguers lol

What?

Clint Hurdle's not the one that didn't go get a fifth starter.

Yeah, I have a lot of issues with Hurdle but I wonder whether he even had a say in who his 5th starter would be. Glasnow has shown no signs of being ready, not even in the ST "competition." Prior o the 2016 season, NH said they expected Glasnow to help the rotation in the 2nd half. And here it was 2017 and he still looked too raw. I have an easier time believing the FO got impatient and decided to force feed the kid than believing Hurdle saw Williams, Brault and Glasnow in ST and said he preferred the one who still looked unready over the most effective of the 3 (Williams) or the only LHP who was also reasonably effective (Brault).

The bad part is that having him up here a while then sending him back down will be even worse for him.

Just my opinion, of course, but in twenty years on the internet I've never seen an instance where a poster repeatedly mocking a player's name was funny or interesting.

As much as I didn't enjoy his tenure as GM, nothing wanted me to punch a hole in my monitor as much as seeing the word "Littlebrain" appear on it.

He's pitched one game.
