Big game tonight. Pirates really need another win.

So hey let's start Stewart over Diaz ... AGAIN.

I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but I really don't understand this.

I know Hurdle WANTS TO WIN. Does he honestly think Stewart gives him a better chance to win than Diaz?

He can't possibly believe that. The way Diaz is playing right now it's not even close.

So why is he willing to intentionally weaken our lineup?

Freese off tonight by the way ...

When Diaz is full of energy as he watches the playoffs from his couch and gets up to make trips to the fridge, he will thank Hurdle for all the rest. If there's one thing Hurdle has emphasized it's that resting is more important than winning.

Stewart is now hitting .185.

He should definitely be playing ahead of Diaz.

Stewart is Keith Osik. The thing is, you need a Keith Osik. Once a week.

Stewart back in there tonight against Cueto and the Giants.

Same lineup as last night.

I really don't get this. If this were isolated, I could understand as Stewart and Cole have a good working history together. But, it's not. Diaz is the best catcher on this team. He's better than Cervelli, and he's much better than Stewart.

Chris Stewart is 4-9 with two doubles in his career vs. Johnny Cueto.

I prefer Diaz, but this actually makes sense.
