Cole avoids giving up early runs. The Pirates have been scored upon by the 2nd inning in 67 of 125 games (54%). So this was a good start.

112 pitches. Dumb move. Cole pitched a fine game before that too. He was clearly dying down missing his spots.

Had to run to this blog to see comments after that monumental Grand Slam by Curtis Granderson. That ought to be a fitting way to run Clint Hurdle and Neal Huntington out of town.
