The Astros will acquire right-hander Gerrit Cole from the Pirates for righty Joe Musgrove and third baseman Colin Moran, Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports reports.

First gut reaction is that they should have gotten more.

Michael Feliz is named. was in Astros bullpen the past couple years.

Feliz 70 K- 48 IP, but a lot of HR let up; Musgrove could step into the rotation, Moran should at least have a chance to make the club at 3B, if not replace Freese; I don't think it's a bad deal so far; the only thing is that the players acquired are only like a year younger than Cole.

Gotta hope that Feliz becomes close to being a righthanded Rivero, Musgrove a decent starter, and that Moran can be regular at third.



Jason Martin is other player, young outfielder with good bat but not a lot of power yet.



My take is that the Bucs didn't get anyone back that has good chance of being an all star type player.

first glance at his stats and he seems to have very intriguing power with some speed.



for a guy about Cutch size

Martin had 18 HR last year in A & AA. He has 23 HR the year before in A ball.

First impression is that it seems like an underwhelming package overall but I like the pieces
