Very ecouraging. Maybe he’ll be a new guy this year. Gotta like his determination. Compare to Marte.

Excellent article.  Thanks for posting the link, VA. I really hope this helps him have a healthy year.

I love when players are in the best shape of their life approaching camp. I wonder if Polanco thinks he needs a breakout year to stay as a starter?

Work the body and the mind will follow. I like it . Sounds like he is maturing as an athlete.

I think Polanco gets a bad reputation as he hasn't lived up to his great expectations (yet).

I still have hope based on his age. Polanco is 26 years old and entering his fifth season. To put that in perspective, he is one year older than Colin Moran who has played in 16 major league games. If Moran puts up Polanco's 2016 season, people will get excited.

With that said, this is a big year. We need to see what a healthy Polanco can do. Last year was a wash.

Question: Why the mask? I am unaware of any training protocol which restricts breathing.

It gives the equivalent of high altitude training. Good for the cardio vascular system.

If Moran is putting up Polanco's 2016 season in his 4th year in MLB, it will be very disappointing. Just as it was with Polanco. Polanco's 4th season was not too much different from his first season. That's the problem. Polanco's 2016 season would be ok for a rookie. It will be minimally acceptable for Moran but I wouldn't call it exciting. I don't think we can justify Polanco's very disappointing 4th season by saying it would be acceptable for a rookie

I think we can based on their age. That was my point.

If Moran did that this year, people would be excited and expect more going forward. Do you expect Josh Bell to get better and improve?

Polanco is fast but was never very graceful and the extra bulk did him no favors while he was trying to figure out left field. I tend to be overly optimistic but it seemed every time he had a little something going with the bat that he would get hurt. The injuries had to hamper (pun intended) his performance last year. Hopefully, the training here will help his flexibility and improve his performance.
