At least in AZ. We don't have quite the slow walk that some relief pitchers had back in the day so I have mixed feelings about this.

It will shorten the game by seconds for each pitching change.

Why did they go away? Did someone get hurt? Or . . .?

I recall how some pitchers wouldn't use them. Either to "make an entrance" or to clear their heads during the walk. More and more pitchers started refusing the cart. Not sure, but maybe that's why they discontinued it.

Would you settle for a hat that looks like a car?

With some of the managers, like LaRussa, who over-manage and over-use the bullpen you really could show a wear pattern in the grass.

But in reality, it is another visual opportunity to have a sponsor show its name.

This is exactly what I was think. The way the game is managed now, there will be a dirt path from the bullpen in left center field and the mound at PNC park from over usage. Ten-ish trips a game?
