From listening on radio Glasnow had a very good first inning. In the second he gave up a homer, double, hit a batter and threw a wild pitch. I would say it was an outing he can build off of. It was not disastrous, but it would have been good if the second inning had a little less damage.

Till he does it up here starting in April it really doesn’t matter. The guy still has a lot to show to prove he is not a complete and total headcase.

There is something about him that suggests he is a stud AAA pitcher, but will fail up in the majors. Bullpen arm? Might be able to go one inning without getting torched?

I agree with you, but he has to build some confidence and although he surrendered two runs in the second inning he got out of the inning without any further damage. He needs to see results when he pitches,or else he will never make it in MLB.

Hurdle had some kind words on his outing. He hit 100mph a few times too according to reports.

Wait, what? 100? In the first start of spring? Doesn't it usually take some time to build up arm strength?

I know the guys come in a lot more ready to go now thanks to their off season programs, but it's a little worrying that he's going this hard this soon. I hope he's not trying too hard to make a big impression.

His very first pitch according to Joe Block was 100mph.

He has a huge arm. This is why he won't be given up on nor should he.

I still don't know that I'll count on him for anything this year, then if he comes through it's a bonus.

If he turned into the pitcher that he was projected to be, this season could become very interesting. He would fit in nicely in the rotation.
