Osuna hit another homer today. It would appear he is coming north at least when the Bucs return home on April second. He seems to be a natural hitter, and I would consider starting him a couple times a week either in right field or third base. Unfortunately a couple years ago the Bucs converted Bell into a first baseman because he could have stayed in right field and Osuna could play his natural position,first base.

Seems like everything is starting to come together for Osuna. Good for him and the Bucs if he can take it into the regulat season.Never showed much in minors as far as power , but he is a big dude at 6`3 240 . Heck the guy had a hard time getting promoted out of A+ ball. Would sure be nice to have him backing up Bell and Moran .Give both guys some competition is a good thing.

Just saw that Osuna was optioned to Indy this morning.

That's likely so they can have the extra relief pitcher. Pinch hitters aren't as necessary in Interleague away games. Would like to think he makes it back once the pitchers are hitting again.

Surprised by this move. This is why I asked how the option works to start the season. I would have kept Osuna and left Taillon and Musgrove off the roster for the first series.

I don't think they'd be allowed back up for ten days.



At least I'd expect that it still works that way to start the season, otherwise every team would do that with several SPers every single year.

Not surprised by the move of optioning Osuna. He is what he is right now and that is a PH and bench player. He needs to continue to work at 3B to increase his versatility and he will get some in minor league camp.



Osuna will be back shortly I believe. They feel they need the extra pitcher against AL teams because of the DH and less of a need for a PH. I would take a major catastrophe where more than one regular gets hurt to recall Osuna and depending on which player/players gets hurt Osuna could be passed over to get Moroff back to the MLB.



The season is long and one series against an AL team this early will not be a major hindrance to this rebuilding team.

Four guys off the bench now in Freese,Frazier, Sean Rod, and Diaz doesn’t do much for me. I thought Osuna played his way on the roster with the kind of Spring he has had.
