Three hard hit balls in the first but nothing to show for it.

Moran pulls that ball with some exit velocity. 1 to 1.

Nice battling by Kuhl in the 5th. Ump really squeezed the zone from all directions that inning---that took some work getting out of.

I’m not watching the game today, but am catching some on the radio. I’ll just about guarantee Kelly comes around to score. I knew Weaver would when they walked him. Good game for Kuhl, but serves him right giving up a run when you walk the opposing pitcher.

Unless the opposing pitcher is named Bumgarner or Ohtani, JMHO, but he should see three fastballs right down the middle. If he gets lucky and gets a hit, fine. But nothing irritates me more in baseball than walking the opposing pitcher!

Someone please explain to me how Meadows hit, what, one homer all year at AAA, and now has five in MLB, and a sixth that would have been out against SD with anything close to resembling a normal wind?
