At least Meadows, Marte, and Dickerson are all in the lineup together.

It's amazing (and amazingly sad) that we don't have anyone on the MLB roster or at AAA who can back up Mercer other than S-Rod.

Yes. I was afraid to open that thread. I like this line up. Mercer must still be sick. I am ok with Rodriguez in for an injured Mercer.

Yes. I was afraid to open that thread. I like this line up. Mercer must still be sick. I am ok with Rodriguez in for an injured Mercer.
someone posted a Pirate fan page that Mercer got sick before yesterday's game. So I guess we played a player short last night and will again tonight.

Well the only reason "it's ok" to start SRod again is because we wouldn't dfa him yesterday and call up any of at least two, if not 3 replacements.
"It's ok" if you accept the 25 man as written in stone from day to day.

I’m not okay with it at all. Rodriguez sucks and shouldn’t be playing period. Find somebody better play Freese at 2nd and JHay at short that would even be a better option. Playing Rodriguez everyday now essentially is insane. No other team in baseball would be doing this.
