1. I would definitely give Meadows and his 1.000 OPS another day off. We just need one more 0-3 out of Polanco so he can drop below .200.

2. This game has all the markings of another futile day offensively. The Reds are going with Castillo, who in his last 3 starts is 0-3 with an ERA of 7.47. I think we all know what that means for the Pirates.

Too bad we aren't starting Williams. His ERA for his last 5 games is 8.57.

Polanco is hitting .129 with a .228 slug over the last 20 games. He's due!

Polanco on the bench this afternoon! Hurdle must not be thinking clearly today.

No, it's just his turn to sit. Plus it extends his time above the Mendoza line.

Twins just sent Sano to instructional league to work with a hitting coach. He seemed alright with decision and wanted help.

Maybe Bucs should do that with Polanco.

Just think we could of had both Sano and Polanco .

Diaz homer, glad he is showing a bat with some power this year. Pretty amazing what the Pirates are getting from catching position this year compared to 2017.
