With Cervelli on the DL and only Diaz and Stallings available to catch, I am wondering if S-Rod could go a few innings behind the plate?



Perhaps the Bucs could have a real S-Rod celebration by playing him 1 inning at each position in a game so he can add his name to only a few others in the history books of baseball. Could warrant another bobblehead day.

More damaging evidence against Pirates starting pitching.



What a mess.



Just a whole pile of mediocrity.



A lot of pitchers who could contend to be the No. 5 starter on a good team.



Many of us saw this as clear as day before the season ... but for some insane reason the front office was perfectly content to go with this bunch without trying to add 1 or 2 legitimate, proven starters. We certainly don't need any of those !!

Also, this Diamondback line-up is nothing special. Only 2 players in today's game batting over .250, and one of them is Discelso (sp?).



Really disappointing to see the Pirates likely being swept at home in a 4 game series regardless of who the completion is.
