Kuhl injury

I wrote about Kuhl going to injure his arm if he continued to throw with the maximum effort he's been using the last year or so. Well it's happened and I can't believe no one on our elite coaching staff recognized the drastic change in his pitching. In fact I was hoping his father or someone close to him would advise against the change. When he first came up he looked nothing like his pitching today. In fact I remember he had good stuff but was much more controlled. He didn't ever throw a 97 mph pitch. I preferred his earlier approach he just needed to refine his control and accuracy. Hope he hasn't done irreparable damage to his arm. I really thought he had a bright future when he first came up.

Earlier this year Kuhl was throwing two-seamers 52 percent of the time. He appeared to have a pretty violent pronation on his delivery. I can't say I am surprised he is having arm issues either. Hopefully rest and rehab will help.
