We all know the Pirates would never trade the prospects it would take to pry De Grom from the Mets. However; I wouldn’t mind if NH played a little mind game with the Mets. Agree to give the Mets the prospects they want. Tell them you need to run it by Nutting. In the interim you insist that DeGrom not pitch to avoid potential injury. Sunday afternoon you tell the Mets that Nutting rejected the proposal. At least we avoid DeGrom’s start. Nuttings reputation already stinks so who cares.
Just thinking of a way to avoid losing this series to the Mets. A little devious I know.

I would love to see him in a Pirates uniform tonight or another teams so we don't have to face him.
I hope TBMTIBB will somehow pull off a trade and get him however that's probably as remote as me starting in CF at 71.
