Brault has been sent to Indy, and Neverauskas has been recalled.

I am wondering if they have a small deal pending for a lefty pitcher for the bullpen. Yesterday they placed Kuhl on the 60 day DL which opened a spot on the 40 man roster. That move is very interesting since as far as we know Kuhl does not need surgery.

They really need a lefty. They actually need two, because I still think they need a left starter. Would love someone like Happ or Gio at some point.

Anyway, I see that Dovydas Neverpitchagain is back on a big league roster for reasons no can explain.

I can't see the Nats dealing players, they are only 1/2 game behind the Pirates.

NeverAAAAuskAAAAs has pitched 11.1 innings for Indy this month with 0 ERs. Now he can work on lowering (or at least sustaining) his MLB stats of 20 hits, 9 BBs and 18 ERs in 13.1 innings (11.85 ERA and 2.122). And now Vazquez is the only LHP on the entire team. There has to be another move in the works.

I'm wondering what lefty relievers are available. There was some talk about getting Xavier Cedeno from the ChiSox but he isn't paid much so I think a waiver trade will be difficult.

Jorge De la Rosa was DFA'ed from Arizona, and at least he's a LOOGY.

But I'm having trouble finding someone better than Brault. Perhaps Brault is just being sent down to get some regular work.

Anyone have an idea here? Heard any rumors?

Brault's wildness had become so alarming that it was risky to use him. Since May 28 he pitched 29.1 innings with 26 walks. Add 33 hits to that as well as 2 HBP and 4 HRs and he was a complete disaster. For that period, opposing batters had an OBP of .424. His ERA for that period was 6.14. The need another LHP for the BP but being a LHP wasn't helping Brault or the team.

Wow! I hadn't realized that he's been that bad. Hope he can get straightened out at Indy.

Say, maybe we should just promote Taylor Hearn!
