Per Greg Brown on today's telecast Polanco done for the season with a severe bone bruise to left knee. Rehab for that 6-8 weeks.

Shoulder another thing. Not certain how bad it is and will review further in coming days. May need surgery on it.

I'm sure more details will follow from the Pirates.

Hopefully that doesn't affect his start next season. I wonder what that means for the lineup - Frazier in right, Neuman at second? Or Kramer at second? Or . . .

Good news on the knee. I feared an ACL tear.

this sounds like an injury that time can heal. Too bad it happened as he has been playing well recently.

The team will need a big year from him in 2019.

I wonder who will get majority of time out there? I think it would be helpful to get Luplow a string of starts.

Disappointed for Polanco. Had he been able to complete the season, he likely would have had 25 HR and 90 RBI...quite respectable dispite the journey. Next season, if he can avoid the 5 or 6 week slump he incurred this year, he could produce a 30/100 season.
