I don't know, but looking at his stats, he began as a SS in 2012 but seems to be more of a utility guy now. Last year in Altoona, he played some SS but mostly 2B and CF. This year he played 5 games at SS for Indy with the rest at 2B, 3B, LF and CF. Looks like a future utility guy.

Wilber Miller (WTM) seems to agree with you about him being the next SRod. Arm not strong enough to be regular SS but he does posse the skills to play 2B and the outfield particularly CF.

I saw Reyes play SS 2 years ago for the Bradenton Mauraders. It's interesting how fast some players move thru the system. Alex McRae, who was recalled briefly recently but didn't pitch, started that game in Bradenton and pitched 6 strong innings. Edgar Santana pitched 2 hitless innings in relief. Jordan Luplow was on that team, but didn't play when I was there. Tanner Anderson was also on that team. Kramer and Newman were on that team (Kramer played 2B that day) so maybe their time will come soon.

I would like for the Bucs to bring up Reyes in September. He might be a good bench player for next season. Let’s see how he does in September so he can be protected from the Rule 5 Draft in December.

Reyes has only played in a few games since his promotion, but I am impressed with his hitting and he can play several positions. I think he has a good chance to be part of the 2019 bench.

Walkie said on the game telecast today he likes Reyes' aggressiveness at the plate. I know another aggressive guy at the plate who happens to be in the HOF!

I think there's a very good chance Reyes is on the bench next year. S-Rod is gone and Harrison most likely won't be back. Frazier could be the regular 2Bman (if his defense holds up) so they will need a utility inf-of type. That's what Reyes does. From what I've read, that's how they see Reyes rather than a starter. So he might as well take over that role rather than continuing to get regular ABs in AAA.
