We should be honored: Starling Marte decided to participate in the 2nd inning after all by actually catching a fly ball. This after opening the inning with yet another disgusting effort, letting a ball drop two feet in front of him as he stood there like Lucy. His lack of effort costs the Pirates two runs. Will Clint do anything? The answer to that is as obvious as Marte’s lack of effort - of course not. Who cares that Marte “sticks it to” Trevor Williams?

Well put. Marte has all the ability in the world. And a 10 cent head to go with it.

The contrast between a Marte and Reyes: Reyes makes a great play to record an asset at home plate. Marte embarrasses himself with a ball that bounces through the infield.
