Seems the hated Cubbies and Brewers have a playoff game tomorrow at Wrigley to decide who wins the division. If that is not enough the Dodgers and Rockies tee off tomorrow to decide the NL West Champ. Game at Dodger Stadium.

Those extra games to determine Central and West Division winners will effect how the teams set up their starting pitching for either the Wild Card Game or Division Series. The Braves have a few days to lineup their starting pitching. I think that gives the Braves a little advantage entering the postseason.

Apparently they are not playoff games. They are games 163. All stats count to the regular season. That could be significant for the MVP race. Yelich has a chance to win the Triple Crown with a good day today.

you'd think the loser will have a big disadvantage in the WCG

Losers play each other in the WCG, I believe. So, whoever wins the WCG will have used their top two starters, presumably.

Add travel for the play in game and then the WC game and that may tire a team out, too. Probably a bigger deal for LA and CO because I think Chicago or Mil would host the WC game.

Milwaukee on top of CHI in the 4th. Ugh, go Brewers I guess.

Also Yelich is 2-2 with an RBI and a steal

My dislike of Joe Maddon was the tiebreaker for me.
