This Friday is the date the Bucs exchange arbitration figures with Dickerson and Kela. Possibly the parties can agree to 2019 salaries in order to avoid the arbitration hearing.

They better settle tomorrow since the Bucs do not negotiate after the arb filing date.

They settled with both.



Dickerson will make $8.5 million in 2019, a source said, in his third year of arbitration. He made $5.95 million last season.



According to a report from The Athletic, the Pirates also settled with their other arbitration-eligible player, reliever Keone Kela, for $3,175,000.

It will be interesting to see how the Bucs respond at the end of 2019 if Dickerson has another GG season and hits for a bit more power as well as average. Guess it depends on where they are in the standings by July 31

Well they now know what their salary obligation will be for 2019. Time to see what is available for a free agent or two!
