I'm in Atlanta, and we are having days that you can feel spring is in the air. Not this morning as it was 25, LOL. But we will start seeing things green up in mid to late February. We have already had a few days in the high 50's and 60's as we are having a very mild winter. Other parts of the USA are not as lucky as we southern folks! I know being from southeastern Ohio, that Spring does not come early in the old Buckeye State! March can be as cold as January. I recall a number of our games when I played baseball in high school and junior high as March being anything but spring like.. .I too am looking forward to spring training... Lot's of questions to have answered, but I long for the season to begin and to listen to the games on the radio and watch a few innings on TV....Beat'em Bucs 8-)

Sammy I grew up in Marietta, OH...Last city on I-77 South before you cross over the Ohio River. Williamstown, WVA is the next city off Interstate 77 as you go to Charleston, WVA. Marietta is about 2 hours from Columbus, OH. 4 hours from Pittsburgh and 2 1/2 hours from Dayton. Kent Tekulve went to college in Marietta. I well recall him and Jim Tracy, former Bucs Skipper, played there too.

Very familiar with Steubenville. My grandpa used to work out of there alot back in the 60-70's. He worked for an oil company out of Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX ...I am a big American History buff, your city is named after Baron Von Steuben who drilled Washington's Rag Tag Continentals during the winter of 1777 at Valley Forge into the army that beat Cornwallis at Yorktown. I used to teach high school social studies, re-enact, and am still a big history buff.

Did you know Marietta was named in honor of Marie Antoinette? There is a statue of Washington in the little town as well along the Ohio River. And the hotel is named in honor of Lafayette.

And I well recall Sammy Khalifa-SS from the 90's. He played under Chuck Tanner...Cool nick name. All the Best, Bucs Fan in GA
