Game to be made up on Memorial Day as part of a day-night doubleheader. A DH on Memorial Day brings back loads of great memories for this old fart, right Bobster, Quail, etc.

So stupid at the start of the season to have a day off after the 1st game. If the weather is good you had better play the next day because of stuff like this. Seems to happen every year this way.

Teams usually schedule a day off after game 1 because those fans bought tickets fore the opener including all ceremonies, etc. So if the opener gets rained out, those same fans can still see the opener the next day instead of having to find another game to use their rain check on, since many tickets would already have been sold for game 2.

The rainout will effect the rotation. I am going to assume Archer still starts the Opener on Monday. Possibly Musgrove will now pitch Wednesday instead of Taillon.

Possum, include me in the old fart class. How about this, in looking at the schedule the Bucs have an off day on Labor Day this season. That’s like not having pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving!
