With games in April against teams like the Reds,Giants, Tigers and even the Nationals who aren’t that great the Pirates need to stack as many wins possible in these games because the schedule is going to get much tougher come May especially on the road. What at least allowed the Pirates to have a winning season last season was starting out 11-4 I believe after 15 games so that is going to need to happen again even more so this season.

The problem is, all of those teams are looking at the Pirates and saying, "the Pirates are no good we need to stack up some wins against them." Those teams you listed are probably all better than the Pirates.

Another missed challenge by Joe West and his terrible crew should be 3-0 right now. Gonzalez was clearly safe at 1st don’t know what they were looking at.

The Pirates are letting the Reds hang around in this game way too much. With as many opportunities as they have had to break this game open this game should be at least 6 or 7-0. You can’t let the Reds hang around only down 3 runs with the way Great American ballpark is you’re asking for trouble.

Is it nuts to think Williams might win a Cy Young at some point? His stuff is so "normal" looking, but he just somehow mows through lineups.
