Has he found his stroke? How sweet would it be if he belted 40+ home runs? Hey, one can dream, right?

Bell certainly has the strength and the ability. What has held him back is the inconsistency of his swing. If he can find a consistent swing and stop messing with it, the sky's the limit.

I hope so. Besides being on my (obviously) favorite team, he also seems super-easy to root for.

I agree he is someone that is easy to root for. With that said I've been very critical of him in the past. Let's hope he has figured things out because it would definitely be a game changer.

Yes, I hope Bell can stop messing with his swing and be consistent. In the past, he's been streaky because if he has a few games without a hit, he'll change to a counterproductive swing. And then it takes a while to get back to a good swing. But at least he eventually bounces back.

The Orioles' Chris Davis is an example of someone who doesn't bounce back. He finished last season in an 0 for 21 slide and has started this season 0 for 23. His consecutive 0 for 44 streak is 2 shy of the MLB record for a hitless streak by a non-pitcher. Davis is on 7-year contract that pays him 23 million a year every year from 2016-2022. Davis batted .221 in 2016, .215 in 2017 and .168 in 2018, which is 168 points higher than his current average. :o

I know that HR was a bomb, but I think that double he hit was a good sign. It was nice to see him turn on an inside pitch.

Baseball Gods PLEASE let Bell's start be a real thing and not a fluke.

While Bell is still a big question mark, we witnessed this weekend why no team would give up on Bell at this stage. There is no way the Pirates can give up on him even if he spends the next week in a funk. But this was clearly a good sign for his progress and he did it at cleanup. Plus, his play at 1st was improved.

My prediction: yesterday's blast will not be the longest HR Bell ever hits.

Boy I sure hope Bell has it figured out.   I've given up on him.   We need 30-35HRs out of that spot.

Once Kang gets the timing down, we will have enough power if Bell has it figured out.

We must get power/slugging from our corner IF. It's not optional.
