2-2 with 2 Hr's. Doesn't bother me at all as he would have never made in our organization. Would have stubbed his toe for sure.

Wow he is red hot right now. I don’t think he ever had a stretch like this in the minors.

When the Pirates recalled him last May he hit 5 HRs in his first 14 games and batted .404 in that stretch. He cooled off but still had a slash line of .292/.327/.468/.795 for them before the trade. The guy can hit.

We talked about how the Pirates used Glasnow last year . I'm not sure if they handled Meadows great either.

Maybe. Hard to say. Meadows struggled vs AAA pitching in 2016 and 2017. When they recalled him last year he was hitting .294 with Indy but just 1 HR in 126 ABs. He was only called up because of an injury to Marte but he hit so well they kept him around for about 8 weeks. But with a healthy Dickerson, Marte and Polanco he wasn't getting many starts. I never bought NH's excuse for sending him down, saying he needed to work on things. I think they just wanted him to play everyday instead of being their 4th OFer. They had planned to open 2018 with a LF combo of Frazier and Luplow. Maybe they expected Meadows to be in LF by midseason. But Dickerson fell into their lap and changed everything. I think they didn't really knew what to do with Meadows after that. If he was still a Pirate he would probably be filling in for Polanco in RF now.

I'm going to wait a couple hundred more at bats before I make a judgement on whether we gave Meadows up for too little return.
