I was pleased when they signed him. He has done very well with Chisenhall on the IL.

If he keeps hitting like this I don't know how you take him out of the lineup even when guys start coming back

yes, he definitely deserved a chance. he has shown to have the bat for a decent reserve player. It is surprising that no AL team beat out the Pirates for him.
Although it is also surprising that any team thought he was worth 15 million.
