I'm sort of surprised to see Cervelli in there. I thought they might give Diaz two starts this series and let Cervelli catch Sunday with the Monday off-day. Regardless, glad to see him healthy.

Jerry Meals doing his best to make up for that fiasco against the Braves in 2011. He gave Musgrove a rather generous zone in the first inning, and really squeezed Anderson against Frazier.

Meals had been basically flipping a coin on every pitch. Obvious balls are strikes, obvious strikes are balls and the borderline pitches are never called the same way twice. Meals is grossly incompetent but we already knew that.

Jung Ho is toast.



I figure his confidence is as low as it can go. And that means he’ll be getting less playing time. Here’s a thought: He won’t be on the team by the end of the year.



I’m really sad for him.

Jung Ho Kang has turned into a Pedro Alvarez like defensive liability.
