Kela is going on the IL , and a move will be made before the Bucs game tomorrow. I wonder if DuRapau will be brought up from Indy. From reviewing tonight’s box score, he has not yet pitched. If his contract is purchased, someone would have to be dropped from the 40 man roster.

CBS Sports is reporting he'll get the call. Maybe Burdi will be moved to the 60 day DL to make room on the 40 man roster.

Good thought about Burdi going on 60 day IL. According to the report today he has to rest for 4 additional weeks, and once he begins throwing he will go out for rehab, which will definitely hit that 60 day IL .

He should have been at the game today.

Heck, if 60 day il can be backdated, Chisenhall or Dickerson's spot could be used although I agree Burdi is more likely since hopefully DuRapau will be good and stay on the roster.

Yikes! Shows how desperate things are at Indy. Holmes has been a disaster vs AAA batters this year:

IP 15.2

H 17

R 15

ER 11

BB 15

SO 13

ERA 6.32

WHIP 2.043

In his most recent 4 games, he's been scored upon in 3 of them. In that span he's gone 6 innings, 6 hits, 6 ER, 9 walks.

And he earned a promotion. Can't wait to see how hurdle plugs him into the formula.

maybe he is around for mop up duty to only pitch when the team is 10 runs ahead or 5 runs behind.

Kela probably knew there was a chance he would not be able to pitch on Wednesday. Why did they not get an arm from Indy to just come to town and wait and see with Kela's condition. Then when Kela tells them he can't go yesterday morning the IL him and activate the Indy arm. Geesh, I am beginning to agree with skinnyhorse on this team's roster management.

Clearly Clint and Neal thought they could beat the Rangers with one hand tied behind their back.
