Apologies if this is being discussed somewhere else. It seems that John Sickels updated prospect list is behind a paywall at the Athletic. Anyone have access? Pirates on the list?

Thanks!

don't have access to Athletic. However I have always liked Sickels. I might need to think about the Athletic now.

I subscribe and here are the Pirates Prospects on Sickles' updated list with his comments:

#28 - Mitch Keller - Grade B+ - Previously ranked #29. 3.10 ERA with 74/25 K/BB in 58 innings in AAA; just moved up to majors, 11.50 in 12 innings, 15/6 K/BB, 21 hits in first three starts, needs adjustments.

#37 - Ke'Bryan Hayes - Grade B+ - Previously ranked #56, hitting .241/.333/.388 in 58 games in AAA, scouting reports are better than the numbers, glovework has been superb.

#99 - O'neil Cruz - Grade B - Not previously ranked, age 20, unusual 6-6, 175 pound build, was hitting .238/.304/.333 in 11 games in High-A before going down with broken food, rehab reports promising, high ceiling, I thought he was a breakthrough candidate before the injury, I’m putting him here so you don’t forget about him.

Three guys in the top 100. That’s...pretty average. The drive for 75 has become the drive for 85.

Yeah, 30 or whatever teams in the league and you should have about three in there from my awesome math.

Thanks for the heads up. Might have to do more homework on these guys. Ashame we don't have more prospects in the list.
