Had a bad first inning . Single and 2 walks resulted in a high pitch count. Then settled down to allow 2 hits and 3 BB with 13 K's in 5 innings. 12 outs in a row coming by strike out. I'm thinking if we win 2-3 in a row , he's a good candidate to bring us a middle reliever ?

Since going back to Indy he's made 2 starts and both were very good. That's encouraging because sometimes when a young guy initially struggles in MLB and goes back to AAA, they struggle for a little while as they mentally regroup. But Keller hit the ground running back in AAA and still looks like he'll be an asset for the Pirates. He'll likely be back before too long.

I bet Keller starts this upcoming Wednesday, or they will wait to recall him when they return home to play the Tigers on June 18th.

From listening to Huntington on his weekly show today, he did not commit, but it appears Keller pitches against the Braves this Wednesday, or else it will be against the Tigers next week.

It is not yet official, but it appears Keller is starting on Wednesday. At this point they need healthy arms, so why not start Keller.

I'm guessing they want to be as careful as possible with the super two date.

Adam Berry from MLB Site is reporting that Keller is being recalled for start tomorrow.

Appears that Keller will be recalled and pitch early next week. He was scheduled to pitch today in one of the Indy DH games, and he has not started either. Hopefully he will remain with the club through the remainder of the season.

mlbtr had a note this morning that he was a likely starter Tuesday, and that would be five days from today.
