A Catcher

I was watching the Mets broadcast when the played recently and they showed him doing exercises while wearing catcher gear. He would lie face down on the ground and then get up to catch fungoes. They also said that he was doing an exercise that was essentially the old dizzy bat.



I know he wants to be a catcher. I know he knows his value is as a catcher. But, for his future, I hope he doesn't go behind the plate again. Even if that means his baseball career is over.

I suspect he'll be activated after Sept 1 and play a few positions including catcher just to help him find a job elsewhere next year.
