So, by the time he is able to pitch again, he will be near the end of his time with the Pirates...

Lemonade for our management team: give him a million next year to rehab, and buy out the rest of his arb years at a knockdown price.

second time for this is not a good sign.

Who knows if he'll ever be able to pitch again.

Unless he goes back to pitching batting practice or gets injured the Bucs are going to need Archer next year.

Update:

I feel especially sorry for JT. I think he is a very likeable player.

Baseball future aside, I feel bad for the kid. TJ, cancer, TJ.

Tough news to hear. Hopefully he has a successful recovery, and will return to the mound in 2021.

And on top of the TJ and cancer, getting hit by line drives back through the box.

Tallion pitched well this year, the second TJ surgery is a devastating blow to his career and to the Pirates as well.

I don’t understand why it took 4 months to diagnose or decide to do the TJ surgery. He could have returned mid 2020.

However I think sadly that he is done. Too bad. A very nice guy

Just the thought of 18 months of rehab....enough to make some people wake away.

Prayers for a good guy.
