Possum, I believe he’s starting his five games suspension.

Big Joe absolutely dominating.

40 pitches though 4 innings. Plus a bunch of SOs.

If he can ever get consistent he can be a top of the line guy.

He has always done well against the Cubs. Entered the game with a career 1.23 ERA against them. I suspect that gives him the confidence to go after hitters and not nibble. Seems like that's a concept that scares most of our pitchers but Musgrove has the history against the Cubs to pitch with confidence.

Bad luck for Musgrove. Gets lucky when 1st batter of 8th hits a shot but right at Frazier in shallow RF. But next better gets a soft bloop hit and next batter gets a soft ground ball thru the infield. Now we'll see if Vazquez can get that save.

Joe Block informs us that if a batter walks, the runners move up a base. Gee, thanks Joe. That filled another few seconds of air time with his voice.

Blowing a 9th inning lead to Bryce Harper and Philadelphia is one thing. Blowing a lead to the Pirates is extremely embarrassing.

I really feel sorry for the Cubs.
