Pirate Minor League Affiliates from Baseball Reference

AAA - Indianapolis Indians

AA - Altoona Curve

A+ - Bradenton Maurauders

A-FS - Greensboro Grasshoppers

A-SS - West Virginia Black Bears aka Morgantown

R - Bristol Pirates

R - GCL Pirates

DSL Pirates 1

DSL Pirates 2

This link is a great one stop shop to get a glimpse of the players in the system.

Glancing through this morning,

AAA - Tucker and Craig off to great starts, Hayes a slow start, Kramer and Reynolds a pretty good start. The AAA pitching staff struggled against the Indians AAA affiliate, the lineup had a bunch of major leaguers, including Carlos Gonzalez who I assume was only there because he signed so late.

AA - This roster is full of non-prospects.

A+ - Swaggerty off to a bit of a slow start, but Mitchell and Cruz off an running. Both are only 20 and could see time in AA this season. Robles and Shortridge are both intriguing SP prospects that both pitched very well in their first outings.

A - The pitching lacks anything really interesting. They have a couple of college picks from last year that could be interesting, Kinneman and Cone in particular. But Castro and Sanchez are the most interesting prospects, both repeating the level, and both with some breakout potential.[reason]Adding Pirates MilB websites[/reason]

bucsdugout.com is another good site for minor league game info, and of course Pirates Prospects.

Will Craig hit his third home run tonight for Indy, and he now has 6 rbi. It will be interesting to see if he will continue to drive in many runs this season as he did at Altoona last year. He may be one of these players who has good at bats when runners are on base.

Diaz picking up where he left off. That will be a nice boost when he can reclaim his spot as a valuable backup catcher.

Reynolds is also starting the season strong, looks like they'll have strong OF depth at some point this year, which will be very important, especially as Reyes is playing himself off the 25 man roster.

Ogle is still only 21, he had no trouble in his first 2019 start, I could see him getting a mid year promotion to Bradenton.

Will Craig with his 4th yesterday.  Looks like a lot of hitting in Indy here early (except kebryan):

So far this evening two more doubles for Hayes, and another bomb for Craig. Craig has ten rbi so far. He keeps this up, he will get another one hundred this season. At this stage he appears to be a run producer.
