Double A manager Michael Ryan has been fired by the Pirates. I think last year or in 2017 the Curve won the championship. I am a little surprised he was let go.

Apparently you're not as surprised as Ryan was. He is the most successful mgr in Altoona's history and he said he didn't even know his job was in jeopardy. I suspect either there was a difference of opinion regarding player development or else he was made a scapegoat for the fact that NH has not stocked the system with a lot of talent.

Boy if he was let go having the best record in the Curve history, Hurdle should have one foot out the door and another on a banana peel.

Unfortunately for Ryan, he doesn't have another 2 years on his contract like Hurdle.



That said, I have no idea if Ryan is or is not a good manager.
