A quick thought for tomorrow or Sunday. If TBMTIB is so enamored with Gonzalez why not let him each different position for one inning? Sure would give Block a lot to talk about.

The Bucs should activate Blass, Walk, and Block for the last game of the season.
No one would miss the Bucs having to release the likes of Elmore and half the bullpen to add them to the roster.
Memorable moments for Blass and Walk. With Block, something to shake him to his core as he stares down a fastball. That would give him something to talk about!

good idea, maybe Block could turn into the next George Plimpton (although he would need to give up his Pirate gig but somehow the fans would get over it)

I missed it!
But the best part of this game has been all of the farewell messages. Including people I didn't expect like Mike Lange and Gerrit Cole.

This season has been a huge disaster with so many dissapointments but what a great moment last night on the Newman walk off homer for Steve Blass final TV game and what a great call by Greg Brown while it was actually going on quoting The movie Tombstone I believe saying “I ain’t got the words.” That was truly something special.
